Units responding for crash in Wheatland

At about 1:30 p.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Twin Lakes Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash at Highway 50 and 392nd Avenue in Wheatland.

Per dispatch: Two vehicles involved, one rolled over and the other off the road and in a field. Traffic is being blocked.

UPDATE 1:34 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports that one person appears to be trapped in a vehicle.

UPDATE 1:35 p.m. — Deputies moving to block westbound lanes. Flight for Life medical transport helicopter has been put on stand-by.

UPDATE 1:37 p.m. — Wheatland FD command requests two helicopters respond. Dispatch says one coming from Illinois and one from Wisconsin.

UPDATE 1:39 p.m. — Town of Salem Fire/Rescue responding to assist.

UPDATE 1:41 p.m. — Randall Fire Department being requested to respond with an engine to assist at the scene.

UPDATE 1:47 p.m. — Helicopters expected to arrive at 2:02 p.m. and about 2:15 p.m.

UPDATE 2:01 p.m. — Wheatland FD command requests county Highway Department respond for replacement of a stop sign.

UPDATE 2:15 p.m. — Wheatland constable responding to the scene.
