Child injured in Bristol crash

A 7-year-old child was among those injured in a crash in Bristol Friday evening.

From a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department:

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway Q (104th Street) and Highway U (136th Ave) in the Village of Bristol that resulted in serious injuries to a seven (7) year old child. At approximately 6:22 P.M. the Kenosha County Sheriff Department and the Village of Bristol Fire and Rescue Department responded to the intersection of Highway Q and Highway U for the reported crash. During the preliminary investigation, a Volkswagen sports utility vehicle was struck from behind by a Dodge pickup truck.  The Volkswagen’s driver and a seven-year-old child passenger were injured as a result of the crash.  The child was transported to Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital for treatment of their injuries.  Two other passengers in the Volkswagen reported no injuries.  The driver of the Dodge truck also suffered from injuries due to the crash and was transported to Aurora Hospital for treatment.  The intersection remains closed to traffic and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes of travel including Highway C, Highway WG, Highway MB and the West Frontage Road. The cause of the crash remains under investigation currently.  During this Memorial Day weekend, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department reminds motorists to drive safely.
