Units responding for crash in Salem Lakes

At about 6:55 p.m., Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a crash in the 21600 block of Highway 50 in Salem Lakes.

UPDATE about 6:58 p.m. — Deputies blocking eastbound Highway 50 traffic at 236th Avenue in Paddock Lake. Kenosha County Scanner reporting this as a rollover:

UPDATE 7:03 p.m. — Landing zone for medical transport helicopter being set up.

UPDATE 7:06 p.m. — All Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue personnel requested to respond to the scene. Fire command requests two more ambulances to respond to the scene from neighboring departments.

UPDATE 7:08 p.m. — Twin Lakes Rescue and Kansasville Fire and Rescue dispatched to respond to the scene with an ambulance each. Flight for Life ground ambulance also responding.

UPDATE 7:10 p.m. — Flight Life medical transport helicopter responding to the landing zone. Flight for Life unavailable.

UPDATE 7:27 p.m. — Landing zone command reports helicopter request has been canceled. This appears to be due to response time.

UPDATE about 7:37 p.m. — Sheriff’s Department posts this update to social media:

UPDATE 7:54 p.m. — Salem Lakes command reports to dispatch that all patients are now being transported. He adds that there is considerable clean-up needed at the scene and the fire departments will be on scene for a while yet.

UPDATE 8:05 p.m. — Some fire department units being cleared by command to return to quarters.

UPDATE 10:09 p.m. — One person dead at the scene, Sheriff’s Department reports. More information here.
