Austin Sobczak was sworn in Monday as the newest full-time officer on the Twin Lakes Police Department.
The ceremony took place at the regular Twin Lakes Village Board meeting. Sobczak was sworn in by village administrator Jennifer Frederick.
Sobczak has been working on the village’s water patrol for the last four years, said Chief Adam Grosz.
Sobczak will be in training for 12-14 weeks, Grosz said. He is replacing the recently retired Randy Prudik.
