A 30-year-old woman from Bristol died in a crash in Trevor Sunday evening, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said in a media release issued Monday morning.
A 20-year-old woman from Trevor involved in the same crash was transported from the scene by Flight for Life medical transport helicopter with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said.
Names of the above individuals have not been released by the sheriff’s department, pending notification of family.

On Sunday 02/05/2017 at 6:45 PM, the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department along with Town of Salem Fire and Rescue responded to the 11100 block of Antioch Road for a serious accident. On arrival it was determined that a northbound 2015 Hyundai Accent and a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier collided head on at that location. The operator of the Hyundai a 20 year old woman from Trevor Wisconsin was transported by flight for life helicopter to Froedert Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The operator of the Chevrolet a 30 year old woman from Bristol, Wisconsin was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The roadway was closed from the time of the crash until 11:45 PM. The investigation is continuing. Names of the involved parties will be released after notification of relatives is confirmed.
A deputy was also injured at the scene in an incident unrelated to the crash. From the media release:
During the investigation at 8:13 PM, as Deputies controlled traffic around the scene a vehicle attempted to drive past a Deputy’s traffic control point which was marked with a fully marked patrol vehicle and road flares at County Highway JF and Antioch Road. As the Deputy confronted the suspect, the vehicle ran over the Deputy’s foot. The operator of that vehicle was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol for 4th Offense Operating While Intoxicated, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Injury, and Operating without a License.
The operator of that vehicle was a 65 year old male from Ingleside, Illinois. As of Monday morning, he is being held at the Kenosha County Jail.
The injured deputy was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
So kenosha county wants to open beer gardens in the parks for relaxation. Isn’t there enough drinking and driving and accidents.
OK. 2 young woman at an intersection is cause for ALERT. An Illinoi-ence running over a cops foot? You illinoi-ance people stay out of Wisc. You young females. Learn to drive. I drive for a living, them young girls drive too fast not knowing how to. This can be avoided. I pray for the parents of the girl who lost he life, and ditto for the survivor.I am not judging any one, just saying facts.
Yes Gary, this is all about women drivers. No men have ever been involved in head-on collisions. Also no Wisconsinites have ever been arrested for DWI. But you’re not judging.
Really?? Women drivers..Ha funny you both don’t know what your talking about. I’m friends with the woman who passed away. Also I’m from Illinois, grow up doesn’t matter where you live. There’s a lot of factors here something could of went wrong with one of the vehicles, or pregnant woman was having compalcations, and if it was drinking and driving. So before you go on about women and how they drive, know your facts first. Enough said!
My Illinoi-ence brother was driving home from Wisconsin in 2005 and was killed by a drunk driver who resided in that lovely state. I’d probably watch how to state my “facts” sir, there are plenty of drunk drivers in both those states.
