So how many trees have they cut down out at Fox River Park?

Juddie Brandes of Silver Lake provided an at least partial visual answer with these photos she shot Friday afternoon.

The county has hired a logging company to cut down some 2,600 ash trees in three county parks in an effort to halt the spread of the destructive emerald ash borer. The parks are closed while logging is underway.

The logging company has been trying to keep ahead of warmer weather, so their equipment can be used without damaging grass or golf courses.
