The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Fox River.
The warning is scheduled to go into effect Tuesday at 6 a.m. and remain in effect until Saturday at 6 p.m.
The river level at the New Munster gauge is expected to exceed the 11 feet flood stage Tuesday morning and peak at about 12 feet on Wednesday morning. Levels should then begin to recede until they are back under flood stage Saturday evening.
