One person dies in crash in Paris

One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Paris this morning.

From a statement released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department:

At 1038 hours this morning Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to the intersections of CTH KR at the West Frontage Road west of I-94, in the Town of Paris, with Paris Fire & Rescue and Somers Fire and Rescue for a fatal crash. A vehicle that was Northbound on the West Frontage Rd. proceeded through the intersection at CTH KR. A vehicle that was Eastbound on CTH KR struck the Northbound vehicle. The driver of the Northbound vehicle was fatally injured. A passenger in the Northbound vehicle was transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The Northbound vehicle did have a stop sign. It is unknown at this time if the vehicle stopped for the stop sign and then proceeded through the intersection, or if the vehicle did not stop at the stop sign. The Eastbound vehicle did not have any traffic control. Names are being withheld pending notification of the family members of those involved. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
