Flight for Life responds to crash on Highway 45 in Bristol

Flight for Life medical transport helicopter responded to a crash on Highway 45 at Old Bristol Road this evening.

According to scanner transmission recordings, sheriff’s deputies and Bristol Fire and Rescue units responded to the report of a crash at Highways 45 and C at about 7:47 p.m. this evening. The first deputy on the scene reported that the crash was actually at Highway 45 and Old Bristol Road. A deputy also reported that the motorcyclist was down and unresponsive and that another individual also was unresponsive. At about 7:53 p.m., fire and rescue arrived and requested additional units to free someone trapped in a vehicle. Traffic on Highway 45 was shut down at Highway C from the north and at Highway Q from the south. Two evidence tows were requested. Flight for Life was called and initially expected to land at the scene, but then landed at the helipad at the Kenosha County Center, Highways 45 and 50, instead.
