Units responding to garage fire in Bristol

At 3:17 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a garage on fire in the 19300 block of 116th Street (Highway V) in Bristol.

Flames seen inside the garage were reported by a passerby. Units from Antioch, Pleasant Prarie and Newport fire departments responding as part of automated response

UPDATE 3:19 p.m. — Dispatch reports that there are several structures on property.

UPDATE 3:20 p.m. — Bristol chief on the scene reports smoke showing from garage, which is attached to a home.

UPDATE 3:25 p.m. — Deputies closing Highway V.

UPDATE about 3:45 p.m. — A box alarm was called for units to cover the Bristol station. Salem Fire/Rescue is sending an engine and an ambulance. Paris is sending a chief.

UPDATE 4:47 p.m. — Some Pleasant Prairie and Antioch units returning to quarters.
