Her husband, Frank Glogovsky, 47, was seriously injured in the crash as well and was transported to a Pleasant Prairie hospital. The couple’s 13-year-old son sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The crash involved two vehicles, the Glogovsky’s northbound Chevy Malibu and a westbound Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Jorge Dominguez, 38.  Deputies discovered the northbound Chevy on Highway 45 was struck broadside by the westbound Mitsubishi traveling on Highway N that failed to stop for the stop sign at the T intersection.

Dominguez fled the scene on foot, but was found by deputies later nearby. Dominguez had called a family member and tried to leave the area in a van, Benn said.

Dominguez is believed to be from the Burlington area, but his current immigration status is unknown, Benn said. Dominguez appeared to have been impaired at the time of the accident.

Dominguez also sustained minor injuries from the accident and was transported to an area hospital. He was later released and taken into custody. Dominguez was charged with the following felonies:

  • Homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
  • Causing injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
  • Hit and run (Fatality).

He also has been charged with the following misdemeanors and citations:

  • OVWI (2nd Offense) .
  • Causing injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
  • Operating after suspension citation.
  • Causing death while driving suspended.
  • Causing injury while driving suspended.
  • Failure to yield from a stop sign resulting in death citation.
  • Too fast for conditions citation.
  • Failure to notify law enforcement of accident citation.
  • Failure to fasten seatbelt citation.

The accident remains under investigation, Benn said including the possibility that there may have been a passenger with Dominguez at the time of the accident. However, deputies searched the area with police dogs and  were unable to locate anyone at this time.

Sad part of this whole thing was this could have been prevented. This is the 5th time this guy has been CAUGHT driving on a suspended license. He uses other people’s plates and has a history of running from the Police. Battery, possession of cocaine and bail jumping. Dominguez blessed Kenosha and Racine with his presence in 2006 and has racked up quite the criminal history. This isn’t just a open and closed case of a drunk driver. This is am example of a menace slipping through our legal system with a slap on the wrist.
HMMM….maybe the law enforcement should have a zero tolerance policy.

    RIP Dawn!

That last sentence should say the legal system, not law enforcement!
