The drivers of Silver Lake have got to be getting used to detours.

First there was the construction at Highway 50 and B, which has made it more difficult to enter the village from eastbound Highway 50.

Now village residents will have to work around a road closure right in town.

Cogswell Drive will be closed at the Canadian National railroad tracks starting Sept. 21 to repair the crossing, Trustee Chris Willkomm, who heads the Public Works and Buildings Committee, said. The work, which is being done by the railroad, is expected to last three to four days.

A detour route through the village will be determined before the closure.
