Lakeland Seniors baseball team took the first game of the Seniors State Tournament with a 6-5 victory over West Madison American Wednesday evening.

Luke Podella drove in Sam Shelton with the game winning run with a sharp single in the bottom of the seventh.

“Dalton Sjong was very strong on the mound,” said Coach Jeff Neave. “Defense committed zero errors,”
