UPDATE: Identities released of people involved in Highway K crash

The identities of the people involved in a crash on Highway K Monday evening have been released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.

Djuana Latshaw, 53, of Kenosha died in the crash. A 7-year-old passenger in her car has serious injuries, but is expected to survive.

Christopher Thayer, 38, was identified as the driver of the pick-up truck that the sheriff’s department says crossed the center line and struck Latshaw’s vehicle. Thayer has serious injuries, but also is expected to survive.

Sheriff’s Department statements say charges are expected against Thayer, but no charges related to this incident have been entered in Circuit Court records as of 11:30 a.m., Tuesday. (Note: We will publish those charges when they are in court records — DH).

The crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m. in the 12300 block of Highway K (60th Street) along the Bristol-Paris border.
