Units responding for fire in Brighton

At about 1:15 p.m., multiple fire department units are on the scene of a fire in the 29900 block of Highway K (60th Street) in Brighton.

Scanner transmissions indicate a box alarm has been activated.

UPDATE 1:33 p.m. — Kenosha County Scanner Facebook page confirms a box alarm was activated. They are reporting fire may have started in kitchen.

    wheatland not brighton or now perhaps salem seeing how they think they own all the towns in southern wisconsin

    1. I disagree. Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue was the initial department dispatched. It was on the north side of Highway K, 29900 block. Wheatland border is not until west of 30800 block. Salem Lakes F/R serves Brighton, like they do Paddock Lake. It is Brighton.
