Burlington man dies in crash on I-94

A pedestrian from Burlington died in a crash on I-94 early Thursday morning.

From a statement released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department:

At 0305 hours (3:05 a.m.) Deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a vehicle verses pedestrian accident Southbound on I-94 just south of State Highway 158 in the 5300 block. The southbound vehicle, a 2007 Acura SUV, was in the far left southbound lane and struck a pedestrian on the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was being driven by a 30-year-old male and had a 29-year-old female passenger, both of Milwaukee. No injuries were reported by the vehicle occupants. The male pedestrian was found lying in the roadway and was deceased at the scene. The pedestrian is a 30-year-old male form Burlington. Name being withheld pending notification of family. The Interstate was re-routed to southbound traffic from State highway 142 to 158 while the investigation was taking place. Southbound traffic was re-opened at 0523 (5:23 a.m.).
