  1. Siver Lake Fire Chief says:

For the people that thought Chief Dragger could not do the job. Well you have egg on your face. She did a great job the last 4 days. She earned the respect of all the county Fire Chiefs. Go Chief Dragger.

  2. shocked says:

Maybe if you stood behind Chief McFarlane who had much more experience and years of service like you all are behind someone who doesn’t, you might not be in the predicament that you are now. Besides, anyone can stand next to another chief and look lost and say they are doing the job…

  3. Bernard Punsley says:

All the participating departments and organizations did a tremendous job, under difficult circumstances. Everyone worked TOGETHER for one common cause. Chief Draeger and her department were a key part of the effort, along with all of the other organizations. A sad ending, but the effort put forth was incredible.

  4. Shocked does not have a clue says:

Let me help you out shocked. The firefighters all stood behind Chief Mc Farlane. It was the Village Board that did not. Get your fact straight. McFarlane did a great job but when the board cuts your budget in half and will not buy needed equipment it is very hard to be successful. McFarlane got frustrated as anyone else would have. He said that is enough and pulled the plug. No Silver Lake firefighter blames him. We blame the board.
